Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’d visited this restaurant before when it served Cantonese cuisine. Now it has rebranded, offering Hong‑Kong‑style dim sum alongside Cantonese dishes, so I specifically invited about a dozen friends to try it out. Orders are placed from printed menus — no dim‑sum carts. The selection is fairly extensive, featuring classic Hong‑Kong dim‑sum staples such as steamed spareribs, turnip cake, chive buns and egg tarts. Since we had a large group, we ordered many items to share. Unfortunately, none of the dishes stood out to us. Everything was pretty mediocre, and we left rather disappointed. For the first time ever, I had a hollow egg tart; it was also not flaky, worse than ones you simply buy from a supermarket and re‑heat at home. The servers were swamped, so it was hard to get their attention. The long waits were draining. Overall, both food and service fell short compared to other restaurants. One of my friends later guessed that the quality had dropped since opening, likely due to a chef change

We had lobster, chicken and morning glory for dinner. They are really good and taste authentic. It's one of the best I have tried Cantonese Chinese food in California.

We came here tonight for dinner and they were able to accommodate our large party last minute. The service was quick and the staff were all very friendly. They had a $6 Mon-Fri dimsum special. Everything tasted delicious and authentic. The xiao long bao in particular were exceptional — incredibly juicy. Even the kids liked it! The jasmine green tea was great and they were quick to refill the pot when it was empty. The total for 5 adults and 4 kids came out to only $16 per person. It's hard to find prices like that these days!

New ownership. Dim sum & other dishes as well. It is always a great sign when the majority of the customers are chinese when dining at a chinese restaurant. Big, hot & delicious. Ordered 3 dimsums & tofu with meat. Amazing food. Highly recommend.

Tasty dim sum served here! Bonus with friendly server. The crispy red skin shrimp rice roll is a must try item! It’s crispy on the inside and yet the texture on the outside is the rice roll and very delicious! Pork & shrimp shumai and turnip cake are also excellent. Ask for their chilli sauce! It’s flavorful. Baked BBQ charsiu pork bun was also good.
